Can I participate in the Agent
program if I am not a customer of Hostway? Agent program participation is limited to current Hostway
customers only.
How do I refer customers to Hostway
to purchase Shared and Dedicated Server hosting plans? Once you qualify for the Agent program, a co-branded Web
site with your company's logo and Hostway's logo will be automatically
generated. You will have an opportunity to select your preferred name
for this Web site during the application process. Once created, all customers
referred by you will access this site to place their orders.
Does Hostway provide downloadable
product marketing materials?? Yes, Hostway provides Agents with downloadable (.pdf)
marketing materials to help you educate yourself on Hostway's product
offerings. These PDFs are available through your personal "Agent"
menu in SiteControl. These downloadable marketing materials outline Hostway's
mission, reliability, superior service and world-class network. The marketing
materials also enlighten potential customers on shared and dedicated hosting
as well as many hosting features.
It is Hostway's Web-based account management tool set.
SiteControl provides you with all of the tools you need to create, maintain
and manage the various features that come with your hosting account. You
can use SiteControl to set up and manage email, monitor disk and bandwidth
usage, analyze site activity, check billing and account status, register
and transfer domain names and set up and manage your account users.
How do I receive credit for my
customer's orders? All orders placed on the order form, provided through
your co-branded Web site, will be credited to you and will be used to
compute your monthly commissions. Additionally, you can also place orders
for your customers through your personal "Agent" menu in SiteControl.
How do I manage my progress as
an Agent? You are able to view a series of statistical reports through
your personal "Agent" menu in SiteControl. Here you will find
information about your total commissions for each month (both projected
and actual commission amounts paid), the number of account activations
and the number of account cancellations.
What is the difference between
a projected commission amount and an actual commission amount? A projected commission amount is a commission amount that
has not been validated. As your customer referral orders are placed, your
accounts are immediately credited with the projected commission amount.
Over the next 90 days the commission amounts may change due to customer
accounts that are closed or suspended due to delinquent payments.
After 90 days, the commission amounts are recalculated, based on the activity over the course of the three-month period, and the actual commission amount is derived. Which plans am I able to earn commissions
on? All plans and "additional item" sales are eligible
for commissions. The only exception is Domain Name Registration.
Where can I review the commission
structures? The commission structures are available through the Agents
section on Hostway.com.au and through your personal "Agent" menu
in SiteControl.
Is there a cost to participate
in the Agent program? Yes, the Agent program has a $75.00 yearly membership
fee.
What does the $75.00 fee pay for? The membership fee allows us to create and maintain your
co-branded site and allows us to provide you with dedicated agent sales
support and access to real-time reports and many other unique Agent program
features.
How long is the term of my membership? 1 year.
Before your 1 year membership anniversary date, you
will be contacted by email to renew your membership by paying the annual
membership fee.
Can I cancel my membership at
any time? You are able to cancel your membership at any time,
but you will not receive a refund on the annual membership fee.
Whom do I contact for Agent
assistance? There are Hostway representatives dedicated to assisting
you with the Agent program specifically. General inquiries can be sent
to agents@hostway.com.au.
Once you become a member, contact information for your Agent Representative
can be found through your personal "Agent" menu in SiteControl.
(In the "Support" section. The option for "Agent Program
Support" will display your representative's contact information).
